As a result of last weekend’s shattered wheel, heretofore known as “the incident”, I’ve been off my bike for 5 days and counting. I’m working with Chris, one of the owners at Uptown Cycles, to source a pair of Mavic Aksium wheels (they come highly reviewed and recommend). The plan is to marry them to Continental Gatorskins (also recommended). Unfortunately, we’ve had little luck going thru the traditional supply chain due to Mavic being out of stock. I would like to support my local LBS, but I also really want to ride. Have a sneaking suspicion that an online purchase is in my future.
