36th Street Racing, Gear, Rides

Weekend of June 11 & 12

Kids, it’s time for our summer kit re-order. We will be using Veloce’ Speedwear again. We’ve tried to keep the price low, seeing only a slight increase to cover credit card processing fees. Ordering and fulfillment will be handled through the new Team Discount area on the soon-to-be-launched ShopUptownCycles.com e-commerce site. Deadline for orders is Monday June 27th. Follow the steps below:

Weekend Riding:

Saturday Dolce Vita Ride
9a. Leaves from Dolce Vita in Noda. 3.5-4 hrs, 70 miles. Alexis has been leading this one out. Really great riding. Route below.

Sunday Group Ride
9a. Leaves from the corner of 36th & Yadkin. 53miles. Group stop at Stallings Road Park. Group stop at corner of Pine Church Rd and Flowes Store Rd. Lead/chase split at Flowes Store Rd, chase group will ride no drop (18-189mph) and sweep the route. Store stop at Camp Stewart Rd & Harrisburg Rd. Sprint at Orr Rd. Pub finish at Growlers Pourhouse for $2.50 Rangers and Fat Tires from New Belgium Brewery.

Please come prepared. Cell phone, food, water, cue sheet, route & pace familiarity, ID, and cash are always good things to have on your person no matter the distance. We do our best to make sure everyone gets home in one piece, but it can be tough to account for all.

*NOTE: Joe “Crazy Joe Davola” Davant and Joey Lifts are testing the limits of the DTI and will be pushing the Sunday route an additional 30-40 miles post Noda arrival. They’ll be adding on the airport loop if anyone is interested in going long.
