Rider Interviews

Rider Interview, Zoller

Annual Thankgiving ride, Elk Mountain Scenic Highway outside of Asheville, NC. I fell away from bikes after childhood due to the interests of being a teenager. Upon arriving at UNC Chapel Hill, those same interests put me back on a bike and with what are still today a great group of friends; "the biker boys".

Starting as a mountain biker, I have traveled the state end to end, falling in love with a bike all over. Soon I began to pick up a road bike and over the course of the last 10 or so years, I have slowly become what I used to hate: tights and lights.

Road Cycling is much more than sport or exercise, it is a mental, physical, spiritual and hopefully, a family journey if I can get the real love of my life on a bike in the next few years.

John Deer beach cruiser (wife's) and my ride. For the last 3 years I have ridden Charlotte and the surrounding counties silly, teaching me about the city I live in, where not to ride, and helped me adjust to life in a new place that I didn’t think was my style.

Props to Mallory and Moseley for putting this together, its exactly what our hood’ needs.
