The 36th Street Racing Sunday ride has progressed by leaps and bounds through frigid winter base mileage and into Spring training. Currently averaging 53mi. Pace is brisk, but conversation friendly at 18-20mph. Route details below.
The ride leaves as a one group from the corner of 36th & Yadkin in NoDa. We will roll out together at 9a. At Flowes Store Rd, we will split into a A and B groups. The A group will continue on the route at pack pace – ride at your own risk. B group will continue as a no drop ride along the same course. If you get popped off the A group ride, please do the smart thing and wait for the B group to come along and sweep. It’s safer to wait and ride with the pack than try to go it alone – especially if you’re not familiar with the roads.
We ask that you come prepared. Cell phone, cue sheet, ID, and cash are always good things to have on your person no matter the distance. We do our best to make sure everyone gets home in one piece, but it can be tough to account for all.
