• ROAD CONSTRUCTION on the route means the Sunday Ride will DETOUR ONTO HICKORY RIDGE before Stallings Road Park. RETURN ROUTE now turns left from N. Tryon onto Sugar Creek and right onto N. Davidson.

• 24HOB COURSE MARSHALS NEEDED. Rafik is looking for riding course marshals July 25-26. The role of the volunteer is an on-course ambassador for the event who is available to maintain the safety of the course and assist riders. He needs volunteers who can/will commitment for at least several hours or more. Must be 18 or older, have good fitness & bike handling skills, and be willing to stop frequently. As a result, the job is not consistent with the experience that most event riders are seeking. If you’re interested contact Rafik directly.


8a, Dad’s Ride Show & Go. 8 am at 36th & Yadkin. 40 miles at “Gentleman’s Pace”. No drop. “Lifts” is out of town, so leadout by committee.

8a, Asheville Criterium. Replacing the French Broad Classic, SRS brings their series to town. Look for our OrthoCarolina/Energy Cafe road crew and the Classic Cycling/Dolce Vita team at the line!

9a, Marion to Mitchell. The law offices of J. Burke MD Attorney Surgeon General will be taking a group up Mitchell. 9a departure from Marion. Meet in the back parking lot of Pleasant Gardens Elementary School in Marion. 119 Pg Baptist Church Rd, Marion, NC 28752.

9a, 36th Street Racing Sunday Ride. Group departs from the corner of 36th & Yadkin. 53miles. Ride together to Stallings Road Park. Pack should stay together and relaxed tempo until the Lead/Chase split at Pine Grove Church Rd & Flowes Store Rd. Lead group rides at or near race pace, with ORGANIZED EFFORTS. Chase group will ride no drop (18.5-19.5mph) and sweep the route. Stay together, stay safe. Pub finish at Growlers Pourhouse for $2.50 Rangers and Fat Tires courtesy New Belgium Brewery.

While we do our best to make sure everyone gets home in one piece, it can be tough to account for all. Please come prepared. Cell phone, food, water, cue sheet, route & pace familiarity, ID, and cash are always good things to have on your person no matter the distance.
